I've said it before. When you mess around with another man's wife you roll the dice that her hub doesn't or won't conform to civil society's rules. I've personally seen a man mercilessly beaten for fooling around with the wife of one of those guys. And guess what, further intimidation prevented him from pressing charges. There are guys out there you don't want to cross. Not saying its right, but it is reality. So the guy in the article found out.

Some people believe FAFO is at your own risk. All he needs to do is prove the affair and find one sympathetic juror — let’s just say the prosecution wouldn’t want someone like me on the case. I read about a case a while back where a man shot and killed someone who was breaking into his shed. People in the community were fed up with the crime, and the prosecutor knew he wouldn’t get a conviction. The guy was charged with discharging a firearm from a public right-of-way, and the community paid the $100 fine.

There’s a photo of the four of them together taken about a year ago at some local event. The affair partner had only been married to the UK guy for a couple of years — very soon after he got here so maybe that started as an online relationship. He is apparently under psychiatric care in a state hospital while it’s determined if he’s competent to stand trial. The other guy‘s wife has set up a GoFundMe for his hospital care. What a mess some people make of their lives.

So was there any infidelity after all?
I think it was. But in this case, the behavior of the arson victim's wife looks disgustingly hypocritical. The public opinion described in the article, which sided with the cheater, also looks hypocritical. That is, getting damaged because of your actions is bad, but having an affair doesn't seem to be at all reprehensible: "it can happen to everyone, "we are all human," "we all make mistakes," etc.
I'm not condoning Buck-Hayes in any way. He should have just kicked his unfaithful wife out of his life. But, unfortunately, most of the victims of cheating turn their righteous fury not on the true villains, but on those who did not give them any vows and promises not to copulate with their spouses/partners.

That sounds premeditated… I’d be surprised if he doesn’t get life. I remember hearing of a case where someone was given 100 years for something similar.
I should hope so!

I always find it interesting that guys always want to punish the OM but their wife gets off.
Me too! And vice versa.

Anyone capable of pouring petrol on ANY living creature and setting it alight deserves to be locked up.

Beat the **** out of 'em? Totally get it - not right but I get it. But this? Nup.
