My girlfriend works at a medical center. She tells me that some wives come to the clinic because they want their husbands to have their testicles removed (orchiectomy), even though their husbands are healthy and have no disease.
My girlfriend also tells me that there are actually quite a few men who accept their wives and get voluntary castration. Some get it done in the US and others travel abroad to get it done.
Is this really true? And if it is, what benefits do these men's wives get from their husbands being castrated?
