Should clarify that left side gives me access to my bathroom 6 ft away. Wife prefers the bath down the hall and closer to the right side of the bed.

Traditionally, the man sleeps closest to the door, so he has that one chance to defend his family.

The shotgun is stored closer to the left hand side of our bed due to room layout.

In my first glance at your post I thought "clan" music and some stirring Scot music slammed into my mind.

My wife steals covers, then buries me in them. The joy of sleeping with a wife in the midst of "the change".

I'm with her. Been through the full on menopause and can relate.
