I appreciate you clarifying - thank you.

The thing that strikes me with these kinds of activities/posts is the double standard. Which isn't surprising. I just like to point it out. 😏

You mentioning this and then the incest pornography thread - for the most part, the men around here are silent.

But the thread about the woman who had a late night conversation with a young man at a Christian conference? The TAM lynch mob comes out talking about how inappropriate and disrespectful it was and how her husband needs to keep an eye on her now. Pull up those deleted texts! 😂

Cause, you know, she's a ***** in the making.

But, by george, I'll have my pornography fix - probably after I get home from the strip club where I got my lap dance/handjob from the bachelor party stripper. 🙄

Well, those are my words and I'm honestly so confused by this thought.

Yes, I brought it up to my wife but that wasn't so that she would say I'm not allowed and take the burden off me... I brought it up because the alternative was her finding out after the fact and that would surely look worse.

For the record, I don't agree with what they are doing and I have no interest in that. I have made it clear to the guys that I think it's a bad idea, and why, and I'm sure not chipping in to pay for that. If I was single I would still go and I wouldn't excuse myself, but I wouldn't participate in that "event" either.

As far as I know, none of those guys go to strip clubs but yes, they feel entitled to have strippers at every bachelor party. They also think what happens at a bachelor party is exempt from cheating, and what their wives don't know won't hurt them.

waving how is everyone?
We are doing fine... fires are coming under control across the board in the area and smoke is beginning to clear, actually saw blue skies for a little bit yesterday. AC and I have a small remodel project to finish this weekend.

How are you?

Getting my second covid trial stuff tomorrow, first shot was no noticeable side effects.

Good to hear the fires are becoming under control near you. That’s scary stuff. And with your project, maybe share some photos of your fine work afterwards?

I’m doing okay, thanks for asking. A bit worn and stressed but still lots to be thankful for.

Perhaps it is not so much a double standard, but those who you say are 'silent' feel they do not have anything constructive to add.

Everyone has their own standards. It is not for one individual to decide what is appropriate regarding thread participation.

Oh, it's most definitely a double standard. The overreaction is almost innate and has been around as long as men and women have interacted.

This wasn't a one off incident here, and it's certainly not uncommon everywhere else.

But, sure. No one is obligated to post or agree.

What’s on my mind is how certain people come into your conversation under the guise of being helpful only to belittle and berate you because they think that their length of time served at a place entitles them to be ‘queen’.

Staying in your own lane is highly underrated.✌

Hopefully the mods can look and see how many people have put a particular person on ignore.

I tend to put the ones on ignore who just go in circles and seem to just want to keep me busy arguing with them so that I can't post what I'm interested in posting or demand this and that like they're the boss of me.

I don't have use the ignore function, either. I can concur with what another poster told me once about it but I'd simply rather be told to eat sh*t and go die in a hole over being 'ignored'. At least, that's honest. But please forgive the rant.
