US poll, 70% of people cheat at bachelor and bachelorette parties

I thought that this was an interesting article, mostly because of how they define "cheating." Glad I didn't have a bachelor party.

NY Post Article 70% cheat at bachelor/bachelorette party

ranging from flirting or downloading a dating app during the parties, to sexting or sleeping with someone other than their partner.
The most common instances of infidelity were relatively chaste, including receiving a lap dance (33.1%) and smooching (21.3%).

Yet 11.2% of attendees admitted to sleeping with someone else — and 9% said that they got hot and heavy in the sheets as part of a threesome.
Q1: So how many people had bachelor or bachelorette parties prior to marriage?

Q2: Any thing you did at one, that you wouldn't want your spouse to find out about?

My Answers: Since I didn't have one prior to my wedding, I can honestly answer that nothing happened.

Ya lost me. Learned what ? Does that mean you quit ? Never have another man in your life or sex again ?

I know that. But I don't see how that makes any difference in this scenario. She was his second wife. If I have read stuff correctly she was headed towards and already started on getting divorced before the unfortunate event.

Was referring to sec outside of a marriage or monogamous relationship.

I was not heading nor started on divorce. Maybe should have been but..
i touched on a number of things. Which is a sad commentary of society?
"Dr Martin discussed some research observations where a group of heterosexual, suburban, soccer moms were invited to attend a lesbian swinger's club in New York City. The women self-described themselves as straight, monogamous, traditional in their lifestyle etc etc but by the end of the night many were donut bumping and boobie rubbing on a variety of other women and a number of them began making weekly trips to the club while still maintaining their garden variety heterosexual, suburban, soccer mom lifestyles during the week. "

"But women are almost darn near embraced and encouraged by their sisterhood to fly their freak flag at such an occasion. "

"If a woman has sex with another man at her bachelorette party and her fiance finds out about it, a good number of people will encourage him to get over it and suck it up and tell him that it was a party environment and a lot of alcohol and things got carried away and that she just got caught up in the moment and "just happened" and that that is very out of character for her etc etc etc "

All of it just shows how far our society has fallen from good morals.

So any monogamous commitment goes out the window for the sake of a party? Seems like getting the marriage off on the wrong foot and disgusting behavior IMO.
My personal feeling is that engagement is a time of forsaking all other women for one's future wife.

Actually, even before engagement, there should be a seriousness to the relationship and holding of that relationship as special and not wanting to do anything that would harm it.

I see it as a very bad omen to be intimate with a woman other than the woman you love prior to or after marriage. To be intimate with someone at a bachelor or bachelorette party that one doesn't know and especially in front of people you do know is a real betrayal of your future spouse and the relationship. To me it is an indicator that something is seriously wrong with the relationship. Although, I do understand alcohol and peer pressure, but still if you value someone enough to marry them, you should be committed to them.

They were just for fun and laughs again involving lots of booze, but us lads always behaved ourselves and nothing happened that I`d not want my wife to know about.
Bachelorette parties for women or hen nights are something different, because many have male strippers, fiancees and wives are renowned for obscene behaviour at those events.
The male strippers actually choose women from the audience to participate in their acts that includes giving male strippers BJs, undressing and even having full sex.
Yup. If you go to a strip club, there are a bunch of rules where you can't even so much as touch dancers. Unless of course you pay extra and go to VIP room where you can get pretty much whatever you want. Male strippers though, those are no holds barred events. I know a couple that own a club where they frequently host male strippers and this happens all the time. The male strippers let women do everything to them and the women are doing it. There are plenty of videos of this to be found online.

I agree.
Back in England some of the pubs had female strippers even naked women wrestling shows, but if any of the guys lost control and tried to touch any of those girls the bouncers would literally beat them up and throw them out into the street. There were strict rules but regardless most of us guys were well behaved.
But as for women where there are events involving drink and male strippers some women go berserk and as you say plenty of videos to easily access online.
If any of those women was my girlfriend, fiancee or wife I`d be done no question about it because what they are exposing their true characters and women like these I could never trust.

I hear what the fellas on here are saying about women behaving badly at strip clubs, and while I'm sure things do happen. I'm not at all buying that women as a group behave worse than men. Sure strip clubs have rules, but if you're tipping and buying a lot of booze the bouncer and the strippers all of a sudden get really friendly. There are a lot more strip clubs for men than women. Also, I believe you live in Thailand? I am guessing the sex tourism industry there is geared toward men and not women. I am fine just acknowledging that on the whole, my gender is probably more perverted when it comes to stuff like strip clubs. Because well we are.

Don't be fooled. A lot goes on a Bachelorette parties that you will never hear about. Women are just as bad as men when it comes to bad behavior, don't fall for gender bias because it will bite you in the ass.

I'm not fooled, I just take exception to most posts that say one gender is worse than the other when it comes to deplorable behavior. I agree the results greatly depend on the individual, and yes, I do think men are more impacted by visual stimuli, which is why more establishments like that exist for us.

I believe both are equal in their debauchery, only difference is that women are better at hiding it.

I think there is some validity to what OS has said. I think overall men will behave worse, in and out of a strip club. The evidence of that is infidelity rates. It is hard to put a truly accurate number on that kind of thing, but all polls/studies show men cheat more than women, overall. I think the point being made is that women specifically in the environment of a bachelorette party tend to be worse with regard to infidelity. The reason it rings true to me is it seems it is a rare time that women as a group feel the freedom to cut loose without judgement vs. men. Again, accurate numbers are hard to come by, but what is out there says women cheat at bachelor/bachelorette parties at more than twice the frequency that men cheat. 2.6% vs 1.2%.

Very anecdotal, but about 30 years ago I had a friend and fellow soldier that worked weekends as a bartender and occasional stripper for parties. He did it for close to 2 years would be my guess. In his "act" the bride to be would always end up on her back with him dry humping her. And by his account about 1/3 of the time he would get a HJ and/or BJ from one or more of the party goers, usually including the bride to be. He claimed to have never engaged in PIV sex though.

You make a very valid point sir, I absolutely agree that if someone isn't used to being tempted, they can be more susceptible to it. So I guess this is a rare TAM instance when a post has actually changed my mind. When I look at it the way you presented it, it makes sense.

The problem with trying to correlate infidelity research and statistics to bachelor/bachelorette parties and strip clubs is infidelity research relies on self-reporting and accurate disclosure.

I’m willing to bet that if someone were to poll the women doing the HJs and BJs in the post above if they had ever cheated, their answer would be no and in their hearts and minds, they would be honest and sincere.

They would not believe that they had cheated or had committed adultery.

If you were to ask their girlfriends and sisters and relatives that were with them if the woman in question had cheated or committed adultery, they would also testify that they did not.

They would not be “lying” per se and it would not necessarily be a conspiracy or cover up, but rather the true power of the bachelorette party/stripper is that whatever takes place is not even considered cheating or actual infidelity by the masses.

Correct.
Let me go ahead and read something from psychology today.
Before i get into it are modern women potential cheaters and I`m talking about modern women born after 1980, generation late millennials and xenials and can even throw some late generation x in there.

Psychology today the simple truth is approximately as many married heterosexual women cheat as much as married heterosexual men so this whole notion that men cheat more than women and women are more innocent and virtuous is bs.

Research suggests that 10 to 20 percent of men and women in marriages or committed monogamous relationships actively engage in sexual activity outside of their primary relationships and that article was written five years ago. Since then we have gotten snapchat, tick tock and more online platforms so it`s never been easier to cheat.

I have read reports that today the numbers of women cheating have overtaken that of men, especially in western countries.

These are facts that anyone can research themselves.

I always thought the argument "Men cheat more the women" was flawed at its base. Why? Who are all these men cheating with?
