So, the flu reports going up, are also most likely covid related.
Respectfully, that's an unfounded assumption.

Which highlights the problem nicely. The media won't report accurately, the public health units/CDC/WHO speak out of both sides of the mouth, etc. Joe Public is left spinning, trying to make sense of all this.

Regarding predicting transmissibility, it isn't completely understood but here is what I've come to believe via my reading, feel free to correct.

Most transmission is thought to be via breathing, though it may be possible to transmit via surfaces. Wearing a mask is thought to reduce transmission, especially if the infected person wears one. Distance from infected people is thought to reduce transmission, as is being outdoors. Talking, shouting, and singing are thought to increase transmission, in that order. So do coughing and sneezing, but those aren't really more likely in any particular scenario.

It isn't known how long or at what time an infected person is contagious, and it is thought from contact tracing that at least some patients spend a short time being very contagious.

So it is pretty hard to look at a gathering and make a prediction of how many infections there will be.

It isn't unfounded, it corresponds with the massive increase in positive tests.

Yeah, I concur. 😊

from the first link, may or may not continue the rest...

While Ducey and state officials have repeatedly stressed in the past that hospitals in Arizona have enough beds to deal with COVID-19 patients, epidemiological modeling suggests that, as cases grow exponentially and hospitalizations increase, hospitals will have few to no available beds in July.

Ain’t that what got us in this **** hole to begin with? Sounds like more fear porn really, just not as scary as the first time. 😷
You do you. If you haven't seen reports of hospitals getting a lot of new covid patients, it is because you are not looking.

Even Alex Azar talked about it, you know, Trump's guy? He said we have a problem, but yeah, dems and fake news, and whatnot.

Oh, Pence postponed his stump speeches in FL and AZ, nothing to see here.

Several of the links state hospitals ARE filling up, but you choose to focus on one mention of modelling.

Shoulder to shoulder in the thousands, and tens of thousands. Millions across the globe in hundreds of countries.

I'm not sure how this can be seen as safe compared to eating at a restaurant.

Why aren't the spikes in cases consistent accross the globe?
Because it doesn't fit the narrative

Yeah, a booboo, I meant the field hospital. But the 200 on the ship isn't many, you can admit that anyway, right?
Yes, it isn't many. It wasn't as easy to get people on/off of the ship so they didn't use them as much.

The field hospitals going unused did show the worst didn't happen.

Thanks for fixing.

Why they are going up is a question that no one could tell you right now. However, to suggest that it isn't happening, would be a conspiracy on a level never before seen.
I agree the cases are rising. So, we agree there correct?

What I don't understand is how and why they are rising in specific places and not others given the protests were worldwide. These started a month ago now. Now we see the spikes again. If this isn't related at all, fine. As you say, nobody knows why these cases are increasing. But if that is the case, then we can't blame Trump now can we? Can't blame Cuomo, DeSantis. Cant blame China. Can't blame anyone.

If it is reasonable to assume that lack of social distancing or wearing masks increases the spread, then I have to again point at the photos posted earlier. I can dig up mountains of video online as well from all over the world of protests in the thousands, tens of thousands. No social distancing at all involved. Many without masks.

The experts have told us this is how we fight the virus, correct? How irresponsible is it to then have a rally in Tulsa for a publicity stunt? Is it more or less responsible for D governors then to not only support the protests, but also visit them in different cities for their own publicity stunt? What do you think is the difference between those two?
