My email likes to plop peoples birthdays into my husbands phone. He is like I do not even know this person :-D It was an option we shut off, literally anyone that was added to our email contact list as some point landed in our calendars.

Very weird. In my specific circumstance I would be seriously pissed and extremely surprised. In general terms, still no good, especially if sex was involved. An ex is an ex and there should be no further social interaction.

Curious, is the hypothetical? Why would you have their birthday in your phone, and how long ago was did the relationship end?

I think you're referring to his ex that started using our address? No, he has no contact with her and I doubt cares about her birthday lol

A guy was showing me something on his calendar and I asked who's birthday is that? It was his ex from high school so we're talking over 35 years ago. He's married, was like "so what" and doesn't seem to think anything of it. I'm not the type to send birthday greetings to people from my past or even really care that it's their birthday so was just curious how most people feel about such things. My hubby has an ex from long ago who tracks him down whenever he moves (can't be easy because he has a very common name) and sends him a penny every year for his birthday. People do odd things lol

Weird. Super weird. And this is coming from someone who's still great friends with her brothers high school girlfriend. We are like sisters. He came over the other day and she happened to be here with her teen daughter, he had a coffee with us and a catch up about some mutual high school friends, but that was it. She's long married to a great guy, 3 kids. It's been 20+ years since they saw each other and were a thing. But they're not on each others social media and they don't communicate at all.

35 years later that is beyond odd. In his wife's shoes I'd be concerned & hurt.

Not only odd to keep it, but it means he actively added the birthday to his phone since it has been 35 years since he was in high school.
